Shout-Out Wednesday: Shining The Spotlight on FSO's Brightest Stars

Good Morning Folks,

Following is client feedback about our team members who have been caught delivering the WOW!  They put their hearts and souls into putting their best foot forward every day to deliver a superior client experience that cannot be taken for granted. 

Here's why:

I cannot imagine working for a competitor. I cannot imagine talking about people solutions while working for a competitor. I cannot imagine trying to explain the de-motivated, unengaged staff if working at a competitor. I can’t imagine not getting the support from my management team if working at a competitor. I can't tell you how many people we've hired who worked for competitors just a short time ago and they will tell you they can’t imagine being there.

By contrast, as you see from the kudos below, we have a great company with a laser focus on people. We have great management in the field backed by superior reward and recognition programs. And we can boast what most of our competition's executives can't:  

That I literally get dozens of compliments like these below about our staff from clients each and every day.  And clients who switch to us from the competition tells us this too. One executive at a major law firm remarked, "They save time, money and effort. They are way different than our previous partner in the way Mitch runs a client-centric business and we are looking forward to getting back to that."

Hi Jamie, I just wanted tos ay thanks for you help troubleshooting. I thought about how waiting for a bar code change can be a pain.  The documents we use are pretty awkward to use to create the bar codes. We have a method built-in to receiver, frankly not quite as pretty but they function great and they’re easy to create. I am attaching the documentation on this feature in case you find it useful. You can even print out just the bar code for people (one or more) on the Zebra printer and stick them on a sheet of paper.  Thanks!

Miguel – McCarter & English (Hartford)
Miguel was working on a scan project that was not going very well.  Miguel set the settings on Job Build, the paper was very old and kept jamming in the copier. Once the copier jams you have to start over from page 1. Miguel took it upon himself to stay passed his scheduled work hours off the clock to complete the project for the client. The client was very thrilled that he did that.

Good Morning Folks, 

Across FSO USA, we have been making great strides in our commitment and the Power of Focus to impact the Client Experience and ensure that we execute and deliver operational expertise. FSO stands solidly on us helping our clients rethink the way their business runs today and how to (re) Imagine their business through FSO and Onsite Outsourcing.   

The reality is, no one knows our client's operations better, we are in it day in and day out so we never stop thinking about how the operation could run better, more efficient – are there better ways we can be organizing our areas better, are there ways we can order things like supplies and equipment to save our clients’ money, can we be more productive in the way we maintain the cleanliness of all areas, Service with a Smile means just that and how are we ensuring every contact with an end user or guest is perfect and special – what ways can we improve Hospitality.   

Our people truly make the difference. Client's outsourced to us and we take every opportunity to show them why their decision was the best they ever made.
  Those teammates that we communicate today took the initiative when it comes to owning the areas we manage – they are the experts, they led that charge, they are the folks who help us to (re) Imagine and how we deliver amazing solutions.

So today our GroupM Concierge desk had a special guest...Dr.Oz. 

"When Jennifer checked him in, his host asked if he still needs to show his state ID. Jennifer replied that yes he still has to comply with protocol. With a bright smile she said "Even Larry King had to show his ID". Dr.Oz jokingly replied "Well you can't really trust him". He thanked Jennifer for her help and for being so "efficient".

This is a perfect example that we never know who our next guest or visitor is going to be and that each encounter is an opportunity to shine like a diamond. Jennifer is one of our diamonds and today she was flawless.

"We would like to spotlight the FSO Office Services and Records Team at PwC Chicago for a successful 3 floor move which opened today! Mon June 8th. This is the 2nd and largest move that they did and it was truly a team effort. Under the leadership of Alex Vizcarra, Experience Manager every one worked together to make sure every little detail and sometimes heavy physical work got done well and in time for a very successful opening today! OSM, Jan Williams and MAL Mike Dolatowski were very happy and grateful for everyone's help. Lots of smiles and smooth sailing today. We even had a special VIP visitor Sharon Franklin, PwC National Operations Leader - who said; "WOW! It's really beautiful!" Mike was very happy to take her around for a tour of the new facilities and to see mobile hoteling in action in the new space! So, special thanks to Alex, John, Matt, Revondo, Shawntell, Demaris, Jessica, Nancy, Paula, Dee, Myisha, Jordan and Renee for all of your dedication and hard work and for keeping your sense of humor and smiles throughout this long ordeal! You guys rock!"



There is reason our teams compete for awards and though the Chicago team won last year, the contest drives all teams in all cities to giving their extra best for you. Looking not at “What is” but “What can be”, is what sets our FSO superstars like those celebrated here today apart from the other outsourcing companies and what has made us the fastest growing outsourcing company in the nation.

Like at Apple, the single most  important thing about our culture is, it never wears off. It doesn’t go away. It’s there every day, and it has a huge impact on everything that matters to every business we serve.

CHO Club April: Stars Make Their Mark On The FSO Walk of Fame

Good Morning Folks,

The sign of making it in Hollywood is to have your hand prints make their mark by being enshrined in the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The equivalent at FSO is being nominated to participate in our monthly CHO Club. The CHO club is just another example of going above and beyond to say thanks to the wonderful people who serve our clients each and every day. These monthly recognition meetings provide the perfect platform to award, recognize and incentivize our top performers.

Some thought that our March event, which I blogged about here, couldn't be topped. Well last night it was. I loved the night, loved the people and the people loved us. 

Today I write to say, THANK YOU for INSPIRING ME. Yesterday's CHO club was perfect, exciting, and most important INSPIRING.

I so enjoy when we have a casual time to chat, recognize your victories, listen to your ideas, wins, strategies and hopes for personal accomplishments.

I made it my business to speak to every award winner including Dianne who could not talk, but made it. Lol…




Commented an employee: "Just felt I needed to thank you once again for yesterdays CHO Club get together. It was an honor to be chosen and the venue was awesome. So many people work for companies and don't have the privilege of being able to interact with the President and Founders let alone share a drink with them after work! THIS is what sets us aside from the competition! These events are great because it puts us in touch with one another. The personal aspect of FSO is alive and well in this company."


The teams were on fire and it is so easy for me to see clearly our FLP, and MRP winners today and into the future.

I left with Chelsea last night so happy with your accomplishments and how that completely translates into our client experience. It was my highlight of the year so far and I am already thinking of cool new locations like last night for May's event

It's because FSO loves nothing more than rewarding our hard-working and valued employees! Our employees represent FSO with confidence, knowledge, professionalism, smiles and a spark. From myself and the Executive Leadership Team to all of our employees across the nation – we want to say thank you for always helping us to reach these goals and congratulations to all the winners from headquarters and the field. 

Spread the word. Our next next “thank you event” of the year is just around there corner. The CHO Club will be at the end of May. Membership in the club is awarded based on ideas, strategies and cost savings suggested to the client and kudos received from clients.

Good Morning Folks,

The weather in New York has been fabulous. I hope all of you have had the chance to enjoy the Spring weekends with family and friends. The FSO Nation has been going full steam ahead, delivering the world class experience that has made us famous from coast to coast.  

Before we get to the awards, I'd like to point out a passage from my fellow workforce happiness leader, Simon Sinek's. new book (Leaders Eat Last) where Simon (who has been featured right here on MitchWeiner.com's Ted Tuesday), talks about employees and happiness at work. He contends that only a minority of employees feel fulfilled and truly happy at work… and it is of our own doing.  

Sinek reckons employees are not happy because we have built systems and constructed organizations that force the human animal to work in environments in which it does not work best…. and one which encourages us to look after ourselves first and be suspicious of others.

The takeaway was confirmation that trust plays such an important part in creating the right environment for employees … and acts as the lubrication that reduces friction and creates conditions much more conducive to high performance.

At FSO we create the "trust" environment that brings out the best in all of our employees and results in client salutes like these. Whether greeting visitors to the the busiest and most famous building in the world or providing IT support directly to the CEO transitioning sensitive email accounts or the supporting the world's biggest newspaper brand who depends on us to get stories out to you, as these customers will confirm, you can count on FSO
