National Expansion; Future Leaders Promoted From Within And Other Thoughts For A Cold and Snowy Hump Day

"Matt has impressed me with his ability to dive in and learn the Records procedures and details of our system. When issues arise he consults me appropriately and together we resolve them. I look forward to further work with Matt. Thanks for hiring an experienced Records Manager who hit the ground running and brings a lot to the table."

Good Morning Folks

I hope you are all off to a WONDERFUL week so far.

I have been zipping across the country for the past few months and it has been wonderful to see our Personal, Passionate and Productive culture alive and kicking across the nation. Thank you to each and everyone of you for representing FSO with positive energy, smiles, amazing hospitality and customer service.

One of our 2014 goals is to have the most inspired, motivated and best trained employees in the industry. FSO is based on some very solid beliefs that are centered around building a career path for the passionate people who consistently do a great job for our clients.

Nothing is more important than having great people who care about the service they provide to our customers. Identifying and finding great people starts with knowing exactly what you are looking for - that fire in the belly, skip in the step and twinkle in the eye. Our Future Leaders must have the desire to grow and be a part of something amazing, something BIGGER.

Everyday the Executive Leadership Team are thinking about how we can further expand growth opportunities, career paths, incentives and success with us. I am so passionate about the FLP Program and promoting from within, I want to ensure those who have grown and flourished with us are given the first opportunity to move up in their careers with us.

Another top goal of our organization is ensuring that we launch each new site with an FSO EM or Lead -- at a minimum! In other words, we will not open an account without an FSO person. Our goal  of ensuring perfect implementations will only be achieved by having as many FSO employees go to new sites as possible, and we will backfill them with new FSO employees in their current site. Simply put, this provides the opportunity for growth & advancement for all FSO employees.

You know that I am personally invested and CARE about every person in our company. It is part of the personal touch we brings to our prospects and FSO clients. Did you know that hundreds of our corporate and field staff were uncovered and/or promoted through me alone! Pretty impressive and we’ll only get stronger and better with a well-oiled FLP.

There are 2 ways for existing FSO employees to become a part of the FLP:
If YOU are a top performing employee, you have the fire, skip, twinkle, AND you are interested in being a part of the FLP (which will likely require leaving your current site), speak up! Call me or Denise directly and let us know you want to grow your career with FSO!  We want to hear from you to fulfill your dreams!
If you are an EM, EAD, ED, RD, or a member of the PS or ELT and you know an employee who has the fire, skip, twinkle AND they are interested in growing their career with FSO, call me or Denise directly!
If this sounds incredible and impressive to the forgotten hourly employees stuck in dead-end jobs elsewhere, and the kind of career path and commitment you would like to be assured in return for your investment working hard every day, please send your resume to Kshepherd (at) fso-outsourcing.com.

I am personally committed to (re)IMAGING our FLP to enhance the FSO Employee Experience.

I’m only one person and know I can’t do it alone. I need your knowledge, expertise and experience.

We are family & it’s all about TEAM WORK!

Have a GREAT Day. Love Life.

I'll be a seeing you soon.

Shout Out Wednesday: CCO Shout Outs. Straight From Our Chief Chaos Officer, Jim Caton

"They definitely have the pep in their step and the fire in their belly. I never have to tell them what to do. They know what their job is and perform it very well without a complaint or hesitation. They are dependable and always on time.”

Good Morning Folks,

Now for our CCO Shout Outs. Straight from the desk of your Chief Chaos Officer, Jim Caton, here are some of the things our clients are saying about our motivated, team oriented, passionate people…

==> Luis Torres & Raymond Diaz, ASME
“Just wanted to let you know that I appreciate the initiative your team took with regard to re-organizing conference room 6 A late yesterday. I headed down to the room earlier this morning to find that it had been arranged back to its standard setup post yesterday’s Retirement Party. The guys did a great job and saved me the time we were ready to devote to the re-organizing. As noted, GREAT INITATIVE!”

==> Trevor Marrero, Related
“Thanks for entertaining our guests and making them feel so welcome.”

==> The FSO Team at Univision, Miami
“We’re all so excited to see that the company and field associates are doing extremely well. The progression of the company is exciting and only motivates us further to do an exceptional job, and go above and beyond the call of duty. Our team is confident that we’ll make FSO proud by continuing the standard that has led to the company’s success.”

==> Jack Hu, ReSources
“I have found Jack to be professional, courteous and willing to accommodate above and beyond what we would come to expect from a media payable analyst. He has exceeded with high expectations.”

==> Merissa Stevens, Centerline Capital Group
“Just a quick note to let you know that Merissa did a very good job filling in yesterday. She is very pleasant and professional.”

==> Alberto Martinez & Chris Valentin, Societe Generale
“I just wanted to say that the work they have been doing is above and beyond their regular duties. They definitely have the pep in their step and the fire in their belly. I never have to tell them what to do. They know what their job is and perform it very well without a complaint or hesitation. They are dependable and always on time.”

==> Guillermo Castano, Michael McGiven, Jonathan Viscuna & Juan Colon, Fusion
“Your guys are doing a great job. I can honestly say that they are going above and beyond. Let them know that I really appreciate all that they do for us.”

==> Harvey Hirsh, FSO HQ
“Harvey has gone above and beyond numerous times and I would like him to somehow be recognized for it. I have worked here for almost 2.5 years and he has given me more personal attention in the short time he has been here than I have received in the time I have worked here. He truly is a gem.”

==> Alyssia Brown, Neuberger Berman
“I can honestly say that my experience with Alyssia Brown has been such a delight.  From the moment I was interviewing.  She always had a pleasant demeanor whether it be on the phone, or when she greets guests.  She always offers beverages, reading material while waiting in the reception area.  She is always making sure that she accommodates each and every one of us, by making sure the kitchen supplies are fully stocked, helping us with conference rooms, even though most of the time I book them myself, she’s always opening the door for us, even though I always carry my ID with me.  She is just a wonderful person, and I appreciate her.  Wouldn’t change anything about her.  I just wanted to share my feedback and experience with you.”

==> John Lawrence, Ogletree Philadelphia
“I like John a lot. He is very proactive about his responsibilities, which is a very welcomed change. He takes the initiative to get things done instead of waiting to be asked. In addition to his good work ethic he is very professional and easy to talk to. I think he is a great fit.”

==> The FSO Team at Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP
“A heartfelt thank you for this gracious team.”

==> Informationalist Team at Societe Generale
“I just wanted someone to know how really wonderful the Reception Staff has been in these first days.  They have been a great help to me in greeting/directing guests; facilitating conf room change-overs and have gone above and beyond. Just a great group of kids and there must be something to be said for the more streamlined/uniform appearance because although they’re all great workers, they’ve upped their game since we’ve been here.  Just phenomenal…makes my job easier so I wanted to give shouts.”

==> Jorge Vega, Kirby
“Jorge Vega, better known as Henry, has done a great job by our client here at Kirby!  I received a voice message to let me know what a wonderful job Henry has done covering at Kirby.  She appreciated his attention to detail and wanted to make sure that he is recognized for it.”

==> Ryan Ramjit, Ballard Sphar, DC
“I just wanted to let you know that Ryan is doing a phenomenal job in office services.  He is always pleasant and will do anything to help out - and with a smile.  He comes by during the day to check and see if we need paper, etc.  He takes packages for me and knows how I like them taped and boxed.  So good to have him on board for 4th quarter!”

A special shout to Jessica Reyes at RKO who wowed a visitor so much that she received an amazing gift basket as a sign of appreciation for her gracious accommodations.

And in case anyone thought that the team at NYU-Poly was relaxing in Brooklyn,
way to go Tom Mooney & team…with school back in session we can barely see you! LOL!

Have a GREAT day as I look forward to seeing all of you soon.

Shout Out Wednesday: Hooray To The New Future Leaders Inductees

"To keep your employees motivated you have to create a purpose for their work, make them feel proud to work in your company, keep them constantly engaged and give them the opportunity to learn more."

Good Morning Folks,

Today, I write to you with great pride about our Future Leaders Program (FLP). Our Future Leaders are truly one of our greatest assets. FSO's Future Leaders are identified by their ability to engage and inspire those around them.

They have that "yes" mentality, deliver above and beyond expectations and represent our company's PERSONAL, PASSIONATE, PRODUCTIVE culture on a constant basis. So, it should come as no surprise that I am personally committed to selecting and providing outstanding people with the opportunity for advancement.

With that said, I'm thrilled to announce the promotions of several of our very own Future Leaders! In no particular order, please join me in congratulating: Joe Tynan, Russell Luce, Ray Francis, Alfred Pereira & Nitza Plaud on their advancement to Associate Experience Directors. All will continue to manage their current locations, but as part of their career growth and development they will be taking on more responsibilities supporting additional accounts for FSO.

Additionally, on the heels of a recent blog post I wrote about keeping employees motivated, I wanted to update you regarding an exciting new initiative that we launched for our amazing staff last Friday. As I penned over the weekend, to keep your employees motivated you have to create a purpose for their work, make them feel proud to work in your company, keep them constantly engaged and give them the opportunity to learn more.

With that said, I’m pleased to announce that on Friday I hosted FSO’s first-ever, “Breakfast with the CHO (Chief Happiness Officer)” ☺ A new bi-weekly initiative, these intimate breakfasts held in my office provide the perfect platform for me to say thank you, listen, share ideas, connect and motivate our wonderful employees.

Our first breakfast was quite a success and I’ve been humbled by the feedback that has been filling my inbox. I must say it was truly special to simply sit down with this first, small group and just ask them what they want and how they are doing. I am pumped for our next gathering with a new group of folks in two weeks!

As I’ve learned, an executive can spend thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours on assessments and studies, but that doesn’t cover the unique needs, desires and ambitions of every individual working for you. In the world of motivation and engagement, it’s important to remember that all business is an interaction between people.

On that note, my commitment to everyone is that as we grow together we always bring a personal touch to business. Our love fest for our employees and clients is the only way to properly grow our business, and I will continue to take care of the people who take care of our business.

I will wrap this up by sharing some photos and feedback from the celebration ☺ I hope you enjoy.

Have a GREAT day as I look forward to seeing all of you soon.
